Tattoos

After spending years in tattoo shops, I decided I had to try the ancient art of tattooing. So one day, I wrapped a few needles with thread, and started inking people.

Some stars here and there, roses and lotuses appeared.

I then grabbed a tattoo gun, and made a few doodles on skin.
The result was most interesting, skin being a much diferent medium that anything I had worked with, such as canvas, walls or digital images.

I prefer working by hand, using the classic so called bamboo tattoo technique. With no electricity, no machine, the ink goes in dot by dot. The healing is much faster, and the skin gets less harmed than when using a machine. For those reasons, I find the hand made tattoos, a meditation to be most enjoyable.
